The Tivat Museum and Gallery, in cooperation with the "Drago Milović" Elementary School in Tivat, is organizing an educational workshop for children to mark International Museum Day.
International Museum Day, which has been symbolically celebrated every May 18th since 1977, this year under the theme "Museums for Education and Research".
The "My Perfect Museum" workshop is designed for eighth-grade students. Students will learn about the origins and evolution of museums, education as a lifelong learning process, accessibility, and preservation, as well as the importance of collaboration.
Museums in the Bay of Kotor will be explored, a motto themed "Museums and Youth" will be devised, and an exhibit for the museum of the future will be created.
The workshop will be led by history teachers Sanja Tujković and Ivana Kovačević from the "Drago Milović" Elementary School in Tivat.
