Last night, at the Tivat Museum and Gallery, we ceremoniously marked the 20th anniversary of the Düsseldorf–Tivat collection donation. For the first time, all 94 works by 72 artists from this valuable collection were exhibited across three levels of the gallery space.

This collection presents a representative cross-section of the contemporary art scene in Düsseldorf, a city recognized as an art hub. It features works by artists from Germany, Bangladesh, the USA, Japan, Korea, and Nigeria who established their artistic reputations in Düsseldorf. A significant portion of the collection was donated by the German artist Bernd Schwarzer.
We would particularly like to highlight the contribution of the Tivat-based painter Ivica Aranđus—who lived and worked in Düsseldorf for a long time—without whom the museum would not possess this collection today.
The exhibition will be open to visitors in the coming period. We invite all art lovers to visit the Tivat Museum and Gallery and enjoy the works in this exceptional collection.
