The Tivat Museum and Gallery, under the auspices of the Municipality of Tivat, has announced an open call for participation in the 2nd "Tivat Art Salon Pean – Sindik."

The application deadline has been extended and will remain open until August 15, 2025. Artists will be notified of the results no later than one month after the deadline.

The “Tivat Art Salon Pean – Sindik” is an event dedicated to painting; eligible to participate are both established and emerging artists, as well as those with academic training, presenting works in a two-dimensional format created using painting techniques.

The theme of the salon is "Imaginary of the Mediterranean", and it represents the synergy of past and present achievements, through which the spirit of Sindik's and Pean's creativity would be revived. The aim of the exhibition is to emanate the character of the Mediterranean through the medium of painting, through a unique interpretation of Mediterranean identity, culture, tradition, but also atmosphere, vibrations and color visualizations. The theme can be represented figuratively, abstractly, metaphorically and symbolically.

An author may submit a single work that is no more than two years old and has not been previously exhibited.

The dimensions of the artwork must not exceed 100 cm in width and 100 cm in height (excluding the frame). If the artwork is not rectangular in shape, its dimensions must still not exceed the specified limits (e.g., a diameter of 100 cm). The artwork must be finished and ready for display in a gallery setting.

To apply, it is necessary to send a completed application form and a photo of the work to the e-mail address: tivatski_likovni_salon@muzejigalerijativat.me

A photograph of the work must be submitted in high-resolution (300 dpi) JPG format.

The photograph will be used for the selection of participants and the production of the exhibition catalogue.

An international expert jury comprising three members will select the submitted works and choose those to be exhibited at the salon. Only original works deemed by the jury to be of high artistic quality will be accepted for exhibition.

The jury, in the same composition, will decide on the winning participants and present awards in five categories:

Grand prix (redemption prize): 3,000 euros

2nd prize: 2,000 euros

3rd Prize: 1,000 euros
