
ABOUT THE MUSEUM
In the very center of Tivat, surrounded by multi-story buildings and modern structures, the medieval Buća complex rests in quiet seclusion. A unique cultural monument—originally the summer residence of the prominent Buća family from Kotor—it is one of many such estates owned by wealthy families throughout the Bay of Kotor. Built in the spirit of humanism and the Renaissance style, with traces of the late "flamboyant Gothic," the Buća summer residence has endured four centuries of change.
